Meet the team
Realise design is made up of a small number of exceptional design professionals, experienced in developing innovative and beyond ordinary product solutions
Andrew is the founder and director of Realise and is the man who drives projects forward. With an engineering background and an artistic streak, Andrew is very practical and is happiest getting his hands dirty making things work. He’s married, with three boys, a Jack Russell and a 1970′s Norton.
Jeff has been Realise’s financial guide since incorporation helps to make sure we stay on the financial map as we grow. His other passion is orienteering where he coaches both the England and Great Britain junior teams in international competitions. Cool. So now you know who to call if you get lost in the Peak District.
Gary joined the Realise after graduating from the University of the West of England with a 1st class honours degree in Creative Product Design. Prior to this Gary had a great year at Studio John Sebastian in Denmark, creating for brands like Georg Jensen and Dupont, capping it with presentations at the Stockholm furniture fair.
Ed ‘Brew’ Burdick
Ed was there back when Realise was started & has been an integral part of the businesses growth and brand. A wizard with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, you should see what this lad can do with a concept in mind and fresh brew to hand!
Ali is Realise’s all-round hero of studio and the company secretary. When she is not whipping us into shape and keeping the studio in order, she also finds time to be a Designer Goldsmith and a mum to their 3 boys. Good going girl!
Rob is another one out the UWE talent pool and is the latest member of the Realise team. Enjoys the more technical side of product design. An avid cyclist and mountain boarder who also like to dabble in a bit of product photography.
Ian McKevitt is a committed and experienced expert in science, technology and patent searching with over 25 years experience in the information sector. He worked for many years in both the scientific literature search department and the patent search department of a national library and, more recently, has worked for 8 years as a patent searcher for a London based firm of attorneys.
European Patent Attorney
Matthew obtained a Batchelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of London, and a Masters degree in Management of Intellectual Property Law. Matthew is a registered European Patent Attorney, European Design and Trademark Attorney. Matthew previously worked at one of the top 10 UK firms of patent and trademark attorneys, gaining experience across a wide range of technology and IP issues, before helping realise.
Head of Security
Bean is Head of Security and hoovering at Realise. He is a Jack Russell through and through, so when he isn’t gazing out of the window at female K9′s, growling at dodgy people, or dreaming about rabbits, he’s busy trying to get us to play with the squeaky bone or feed him biscuits.
